People who know me, know that while I have a passion for all things high tech, I also have a special place in my heart for low-tech. I collect rotary dial phones — I'm in the market for a 60's era typewriter.
If you've met me in person, it's highly likely that I've given you a calling card. I originally got my calling cards at an open air market in New York City. They were made by a man named Richard Meneely. He was running a letterpress at this market, and I couldn't resist. This has to be the best $170 I ever spent.
Something else you may or may not know is that these calling cards are modeled after the calling card that my Grandfather used. I am named after him and he is a man I have a great deal of respect for — a man who I loved very much. A man who left us altogether too soon.
Not only are these calling cards useful, they honor someone who meant a great deal to me. If you have one — you should know this — if you get one, now you understand why they are so special to me.
The printing of these cards is excellent. If you're looking for something similar, you should check out The United States Business Card Company. Not only are these some of the best business cards I've ever found, they arrived insanely fast. With shipping, I received about 500 business cards for $170 - a bargain for printing of this quality.
Richard: Thanks for helping me honor my grandfathers memory and producing a product of impeccable quality.
